Equipment

  • Ninja Creami ice cream maker

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fairlife 2% milk
  • 30 grams vanilla protein powder *I used Puori bourbon vanilla whey
  • 1 tbsp sugar-free vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 tbsp malted milk powder
  • 2 tbsp Ovaltine rich chocolate flavor
  • pinch of salt
  • *optional- chopped chocolate malt balls for garnish

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to the pint-size ice cream container and use a small frother whisk to blend. You can also use an immersion blender for this. Make sure everything is well mixed.
  • Cover with the lid and freeze for 24 hours until set.
  • Remove the pint from the freezer and remove the lid. Refer to the Creami guide for bowl assembly.
  • Select "Ice Cream" and process until complete. Add a splash of milk and re-spin until you reach your desired consistency. You may need to re-spin it again, scraping down the sides in between, for the best soft-serve ice cream texture. *For a thicker, more scoopable ice cream texture, instead of selecting the "respin" setting, use the "mix-in" setting for 1-2 cycles.
  • Top with crushed malted milk balls, if desired.

Notes

*Nutrition info is for the whole pint! You can always divide up into 2 servings for a lower-calorie dessert option.
