Parchment air fryer liners *make sure that they are designed for the air fryer
Ingredients
2Bosc pears
2tbspbutter, softened
1tbspmaple syrup, or honey
cinnamon, to taste
½cupapple cider, unfiltered apple cider for the best flavor
For the topping:
1cup2% cottage cheese
1tbspmaple syrup-or sweetener of choice. You can add a bit more to your taste preference.
½tspfresh orange zest
½tspvanilla
Instructions
Slice the pears down the middle, lengthwise, and scoop out the seeds with a small spoon.
Place a parchment liner in the air fryer basket and place the pear halves, flesh side up, in the air fryer basket.
Spoon the softened butter into the cored part of the pear and brush the remaining butter on top. Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Pour the cider into the bottom of the lined basket and air fry at 350 degrees F. for 18-20 minutes.
While the pears are cooking, place the cottage cheese, 1 tbsp maple syrup, orange zest, and vanilla in a mini food processor and process until smooth.
To serve: sprinkle with cinnamon and top with whipped cottage cheese. Garnish with nuts and additional maple syrup or honey, if desired.
Notes
Soften the butter before use to make it easier to coat the pears. If you forget to remove it from the fridge, pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, but be careful not to melt it.
Preheat your air fryer if your model recommends it. This helps achieve even cooking and delicious caramelization from the start.
Air fryer models vary, so start checking your pears at the 15-minute mark to avoid overcooking. They should be tender and slightly caramelized.
