Ingredients

  • 1 Flatout Thin Pizza Crust or thin flatbread of choice (may need to adjust cooking time if you go with another brand)
  • cup Homemade Pizza Sauce or your favorite store-bought sauce
  • 4-5 slices large deli sliced uncured pepperoni turkey pepperoni is a good lean meat option to reduce fat and calories
  • 1 oz buffalo mozzarella cheese can add more, if preferred
  • 2 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • optional toppings: finely chopped fresh oregano, red pepper flakes, and grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Lightly spritz the pizza crust with olive oil spray and place it on a metal baking sheet or baking steel. Bake for 1-2 minutes for a crispier crust before adding the toppings.
  • Remove the flatbread from the oven, add the toppings, starting with the sauce, then sliced pepperoni, mozzarella slices, and fresh oregano.
  • Return the flatbread to the oven to cook for 5-8 minutes, or until the buffalo mozzarella has melted. Top with red pepper flakes, and freshly grated parmesan, if using.

Notes

*You can also cook it on the grill at 350 degrees F. Pre-grill the crust directly on the rack for 1-2 minutes, top with toppings, and return to the grill for another 4-5 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
