Roosevelt Baked Beans with Ground Beef & Bacon

  • 1 lb 92% lean ground beef
  • 6 slices cooked bacon
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 16 oz can pork and beans
  • 1 15 oz can kidney beans
  • 1 15 oz can lima beans
  • 1 15 oz can butter beans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar can sub coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp prepared mustard
  • salt and fresh ground pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F..
  2. Cook bacon on a foil-lined baking sheet for 10-15 minutes, until bacon is done
  3. Drain bacon on a plate lined with paper towels and set aside
  4. Lower oven heat to 325 degrees F.
  5. Heat a dutch oven over medium heat and add ground beef and onions. Cook until meat is done and onions are soft.
  6. Drain grease and add beef mixture back to the pot.
  7. Drain all beans and add to pot (if you prefer more liquid, drain all beans except the pork and beans and add them with the liquid to the pot)
  8. Stir in all remaining ingredients and bake for 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
