This flavorful lemon sage chicken salad recipe is fast and easy to make using pre-cooked shredded chicken, fresh lemon juice, slivered almonds, and chopped fresh sage leaves.

  • 2 cups shredded white meat chicken
  • cup light mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoon fresh sage finely chopped
  • juice of 1 lemon about 1 ½ tbsp
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ cup slivered almonds
  • sea salt and pepper to taste


  • In a medium-size bowl, whisk mayo, sage, lemon juice, zest and sugar
  • Add chicken and almonds and stir to coat
  • Season with salt and pepper, to taste


For a tasty twist, try swapping the fresh sage for fresh basil or thyme!
