Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker

Ingredients

  • 1 oz blue curacao
  • ½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 oz Simply Light Lemonade can also use regular lemonade or zero sugar lemonade
  • 3-4 oz sparkling water can also use sugar-free lemon-lime soda (for a sweeter option)
  • Garnishes: lemon slice, pineapple slice, and a maraschino cherry

Instructions

  • Pour the blue curacao, lemon juice, and lemonade into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake to mix.
  • Fill a glass with ice (crushed ice if you have it) and pour the mixture into the glass.
  • Top with sparkling water (see notes for flavor variations) or zero-sugar lemon-lime soda and stir to mix.
  • Garnish with a lemon slice, pineapple slice, and a maraschino cherry.

Notes

Variations:
  • Flavored sparkling water – Instead of pure sparkling water, put your mixologist skills to the test and experiment with fun LaCroix sparkling water flavors. For example, try lemon, orange, peach-pear, pineapple guava, coconut, etc.
  • Lemon-lime soda option – Another option is replacing the lemonade and the sparking water with lemon-lime soda. I love making this drink with zero-sugar Sprite and a splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice instead of lemonade and sparkling water.
  • For a tropical twist –  Enhance your mocktail with a splash of pineapple juice, keeping in mind that with pineapple juice, your blue lagoon will be more like a sea-green lagoon.
