Sauté green peppers and onions in butter, over medium heat, for about 5 minutes until tender. Then set aside.
Add butter and chicken to the pan, brown chicken on one side. Flip, add garlic, and continue cooking until the chicken is browned on both sides and the garlic is lightly golden.
Add chicken and garlic, seasonings, pineapple, BBQ sauce, green peppers, and onions to your crockpot and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours. Rest for 5-10 minutes, shred, and serve.
