I have been trying to make this for a few years now. Every time I’ve brought it up to my husband, he would scrunch his nose up and hem and haw at the whole idea. I decided I was just going to make it and if he didn’t want it, there was plenty of other food he could eat. He not only LOVED it (and asked why I haven’t made this before) but he went back for seconds and then ate it for lunch the next day. It is now a regular menu item! The flavors are perfect together and it’s so easy to put together. I’ve made it with both egg noodles and rice and think I prefer the egg noodles because of the way they hold the sauce.

This recipe was great! I used the oil from the sun dried tomato jar to sate the chicken. I think it infused that flavor more into the chicken. I also used half and half instead of milk. I’m also heavy handed with the salt and other herbs. It turned out great! My father in law kept saying “mmm!” With every bite!
