How To Make A Chocolate Banana Protein Shake
What you’ll need to make this chocolate protein shake recipe:
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
3 ice cubes
1/2 frozen banana
8 oz coconut water
8 oz 45 calorie almond breeze chocolate almond milk
1 packet Truvia or Whole Earth Sweetener.
Making my favorite protein shake is as easy as the breeze! Just put everything into a blender and process until it’s smooth and creamy. If you want the consistency to be thicker, like a milkshake, add more ice.
How To Freeze Bananas For Smoothies
My favorite method to freeze bananas for smoothies is to peel them and slice in half. Wrap each half in plastic wrap and place them in a sealed zip-top freezer bag in an airtight container in the freezer. I usually only use half a banana in my smoothie recipes, so this makes them easy to grab and throw right into the blender. Storing them in an airtight container helps keep them from turning brown and freezer burn.
If you are freezing bananas for banana bread, you can go ahead and pre mash them and put into a zip-top freezer bag and squeeze out the excess air. Place the bag into a sealed container and use in your favorite quick bread, muffin or cake recipes.

- 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
- 3 ice cubes
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 8 oz coconut water
- 8 oz chocolate almond milk
- 1 packet truvia.
- Place all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth. For a thicker consistency, add more ice. For a thinner consistency, add more coconut water.
